My Birthday

My thirteenth birthday is this Sunday! I am having some friends over Saturday and on Sunday we are going  to go to P.F Chang's for lunch. My best friend is moving this Saturday, so next weekend we are going to Memphis, Tennessee. That will be kind of like my birthday party. The Memphis zoo has pandas, and pandas are my favorite animals! We are leaving that Friday and coming back the following Monday. I am really excited!

Six Flags

Today Select Choir is going to Six Flags! We will perform in the Palace Theatre and then we get to go ride the rides! I am going to ride Mr. Freeze because this year, it is going backwards! I am really excited! We will leave during second hour today and then we get on the buses. It will only be people performing in choirs, so we won't have to wait very long to get on rides.We can ride rides over and over again if we want to.

My Teachers

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day. I appreciate all of my teachers. I think it's really cool that a whole day is dedicated to our teachers. They do so much for us. My favorite year so far has been sixth grade because it was the most challenging for me. My teachers helped me a lot. They all  helped us to be better.

The Flying Gangster

In the picture, there is a boy with a very small nose. He is flying above four of his so-called friends who cursed him. They told him that until he became a gangster with them, he would always float above them with pathetic little wings. The boy stood strong in his decision, though. He thought that if he stood his ground for long enough, his companions would eventually give up and release him from the curse. However, the gangsters knew that the boy would most likely be thinking this. They sat beneath him for days on end. Eventually, they grew hungry. They hoped that the boy would decide to become a gangster soon. At long last, the boy told the one with the big nose and no neck that he would become a gangster. They all rejoiced and went to get a burger.

The Lost Girls

I am  in the school play, The Lost Girls. It is about eight girls who are at a sleep over when a Lost Boy flies into their room. The Lost Boy came to take Freya Lark, my characters best friend, to Never land. All of the girls come with,.  When they arrive, they are taken by pirates. After a sword fight, Captain Hook learns from Smee that Freya Lark is his daughter.

Earth Day

Yesterday was Earth Day. I can help keep our earth clean by doing little things. I can recycle my plastic bottles instead of throwing them away. I could turn off my lights as soon as I am done using them. I could turn off the water while I brush my teeth. One of my biggest problems is unplugging chargers after I'm done with them! Leaving them there, even when I'm not using them, is just a big waste of electricity. My mom uses reusable cloth bags when she goes to the grocery store. I really think it's cool that keeping the earth clean is so important that we dedicated a day to it!


My Puppy

We got a new puppy. She is a rat terrier. She was the runt of the litter and is very small for her breed. She is mostly white with an all black head. She has little black and brown polka-dots all over her back. We named her Pixie because she is so small. When we first got her, she could fit in one of my hands! Now she is bigger and more annoying. She likes to bite my fingers until she makes me bleed. My other dogs don't like her very much. She likes to bite them, too. They don't respond very well to this. They bite her back and run away.
