My Birthday

My thirteenth birthday is this Sunday! I am having some friends over Saturday and on Sunday we are going  to go to P.F Chang's for lunch. My best friend is moving this Saturday, so next weekend we are going to Memphis, Tennessee. That will be kind of like my birthday party. The Memphis zoo has pandas, and pandas are my favorite animals! We are leaving that Friday and coming back the following Monday. I am really excited!

Six Flags

Today Select Choir is going to Six Flags! We will perform in the Palace Theatre and then we get to go ride the rides! I am going to ride Mr. Freeze because this year, it is going backwards! I am really excited! We will leave during second hour today and then we get on the buses. It will only be people performing in choirs, so we won't have to wait very long to get on rides.We can ride rides over and over again if we want to.

My Teachers

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day. I appreciate all of my teachers. I think it's really cool that a whole day is dedicated to our teachers. They do so much for us. My favorite year so far has been sixth grade because it was the most challenging for me. My teachers helped me a lot. They all  helped us to be better.

The Flying Gangster

In the picture, there is a boy with a very small nose. He is flying above four of his so-called friends who cursed him. They told him that until he became a gangster with them, he would always float above them with pathetic little wings. The boy stood strong in his decision, though. He thought that if he stood his ground for long enough, his companions would eventually give up and release him from the curse. However, the gangsters knew that the boy would most likely be thinking this. They sat beneath him for days on end. Eventually, they grew hungry. They hoped that the boy would decide to become a gangster soon. At long last, the boy told the one with the big nose and no neck that he would become a gangster. They all rejoiced and went to get a burger.

The Lost Girls

I am  in the school play, The Lost Girls. It is about eight girls who are at a sleep over when a Lost Boy flies into their room. The Lost Boy came to take Freya Lark, my characters best friend, to Never land. All of the girls come with,.  When they arrive, they are taken by pirates. After a sword fight, Captain Hook learns from Smee that Freya Lark is his daughter.

Earth Day

Yesterday was Earth Day. I can help keep our earth clean by doing little things. I can recycle my plastic bottles instead of throwing them away. I could turn off my lights as soon as I am done using them. I could turn off the water while I brush my teeth. One of my biggest problems is unplugging chargers after I'm done with them! Leaving them there, even when I'm not using them, is just a big waste of electricity. My mom uses reusable cloth bags when she goes to the grocery store. I really think it's cool that keeping the earth clean is so important that we dedicated a day to it!


My Puppy

We got a new puppy. She is a rat terrier. She was the runt of the litter and is very small for her breed. She is mostly white with an all black head. She has little black and brown polka-dots all over her back. We named her Pixie because she is so small. When we first got her, she could fit in one of my hands! Now she is bigger and more annoying. She likes to bite my fingers until she makes me bleed. My other dogs don't like her very much. She likes to bite them, too. They don't respond very well to this. They bite her back and run away.

Riding A Horse

This whole week I have been learning to ride a horse. It is a lot of fun. Before we start riding, we have to do exercises like hula-hooping and walking on stilts. These exercises teach us balance. If we do not have balance on a horse, we will most likely fall off. After we do these exercises, we play games with our horse. We lead them around the arena, we tell them to walk in a circle and come back to us, we tell them to back up, and we make them move their back ends by pressing our fingers on their back legs. Finally we get to ride our horses. It is a lot of fun. I learned how to lead my horse using reins yesterday, which was kind of difficult. I had a lot of fun.

If I Looked How I Feel...

If I looked how I would look excited. I am excited because after school I have a rehearsal for a play. We have already had one rehearsal, and we only read through our scripts. I am ready to act it out! I am also excited because, after the rehearsal, I am going to a 4-H clinic. I went to the first one yesterday, and it was really fun. I can't wait!

Pandas

Over Memorial Day weekend my family is going to Memphis, Tenessee. We are going to their zoo to see the pandas. My thirteenth birthday is the week before, so I am allowed to bring one of my friends. I love pandas. They are my favorite animal. They are also my friends favorite animal. We are both really excited. My paretns said I could bring one friend with us, and my friend is moving the week before we leave for Memphis. That is why I chose to bring her.

Healthy Breakfasts

It is very important to start your day with a healthy breakfast. Being healthy is very important because it keeps us fit. Some other ways to stay healthy are by eating good foods. You won't stay very healthy for very long if you always eat burgers. Eating things like fruits and vegetables keeps your body in good shape. Some other ways to stay healthy are to exercise. It is very important to exercise. Even just sit-ups or a twenty minute run can help to keep you healthy. The recommended amount of exercise is one hour a day.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is proper poture in working spaces. Aches and pains are signs that you do not have proper posture while working. One if my bad habits is slouching in my chair. The work stations we have in technology are not ergonomically correct. When people sit while working on their computer, they should sit tall with their eyes pointing toward the center of the moniter.

Blured Images

On Google Maps, there are places that are blurred so that we can't see them. Some of these palces include the White House, the vice presidents home, and most of the land owned by Dutch royal family. I think that this is a smart thing to do. If I lived in the White House, I don't really think I would want people looking at my house all the time. I think it is okay for people to ask that certain places be blurred on Google Maps.

In my technology class we have learned quite a bit, and we have also practiced things to get better. One of the things we have practiced to get better at is typing. We also do blogs that help our typing, and maneuvering a computer. We also did projects in the microsoft office and learned different things you can do with them like making margins, brackets, etc. My favorite project though was making an excel spreadsheet with a picture on it. It was fun to see what other people made and to see how your idea turned out. I really look forward to having one of these classes next year.

The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner is a popular book about a kid name Thomas who wakes up in an old elevator lift. He somehow has lost his memory and can only remember some hazy visions but nothing quite pops into his head. When it lift stops he finds himself in a big area with dozens of boys staring down on him. They call themselves Gladers and the place they live The Glade. He soon learns that all the other boys have lost their memories as well but have managed to survive for years. There are huge doors leading off into a enormous maze and at night they close sealing it off from the monsters which lurk inside at night. It is an epic tale that I think anyone could read!

Eiffel Bang

When I look at this picture I obviously think of the Eiffel Tower, but I also think of warfare and explosions. When you are losing your grip on consciousness everything becomes fuzzy as your mind is trying to piece everything back together, your vision falters and makes things look weird. This picture makes me think of Paris being under attack  and some one gets blown over and as they are getting up this is what they see. I could imagine their hand swiping at it trying to get a grip on reality and certain doom. That is why this picture makes me think of a natural disaster about to happen. It makes me think of a sign oncoming doom.

Why would I think this? Why would I build this? Why would I live in this? I always told my parents I'd live in the greatest house in the world, but what makes this so great? I climb to the bathroom, and slide into the kitchen. Why have I done this?

I slip and slide, I climb and dive. My bedroom lies downside, facing the dining room, I struggle to live in this nightmare. My life is a disaster! Why have I done this?

Bad Things About Insurance

Insurance is one of the worst things on the planet because they hardly cover you, when they see bad things they skip out even though these are the things we pay them for. I recently had surgery on my foot, and before the surgery they would cover the pay. So we went with the surgery and a month later they told us they weren't going to pay for it. WHAT! Why did they tell us they were going to pay for it if they didn't plan on paying for it! They scamed me, why shouldn't we scam them? Has insurance ever promised to pay you but didn't? If I have insurance I am expecting for them to cover me, not say they will and then don't! That is why I think having Insurance is a bad thing to pay for.

P.E.

P.E. stands for Physical Education, I think this is very important and should be mandatory for most kids. P.E. gives kids exercise when they don't exercise. I think it should not be mandatory for the physically challenged though. The physically challenged kids would have a very tough time in this class. I also think the teachers should be less strict, if one kid makes a mistake why should the entire class be punished? That is my idea on Physical Education, what is yours?

I am reading a book series right now called the Grey Griffins. There are 2 series in this collection, 3 books in the first, and another 3 in the second called The Clockwork Chronicles. There is also a fourth book coming out that goes a long with the first series, but it comes after the time when The Clockwork Chronicles takes place. They are about a group of kids who become part of a fantasy world and one of them is an heir of King Arthur and has special powers. They must join together and save the world.

I have helped people, and have been helped. It makes me feel great to help people, and that's why I think more people should help each other. One thing I have helped someone with is their homework. It really made me feel great, especially after they helped me as well. Helping people can also be a great way to meet new friends. The world is a strange and wonderful place, but it can also be a nightmare. I think more people should help out and do something for more than just themselves for a change. It really does make you feel good inside when you help people, so why don't we get out there and make a change!

Lord of the Craft - Minecraft Server

Hello lately I have been posting some reviews about Minecraft, and the last one I talked a little about The Lord of The Craft Minecraft server. In this server you can play as four main races, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs. These four races have sub-races aswell, Humans have Southeners, Northeners, and Halfings which are usually more like Hobbits in The Lord of the Rings. The Elves had the Wood, High and Dark elves. The dwarves had cave, mountain, and forest dwarves. The orcs had Goblins, Nomad Warriors and Shamans. There is one other ancient race of Elves as well, called the Mori'quesser or better known as the Mori. With all these races formally there were another two replacing the Mori. They were the Ascended and Undead. Good and Bad, they both fought for centuries and eventually the Ascended fled to the Heavens to leave us to die. But we would not fall, we would stand tall and defeat their evil conquest. We destroyed them and fled from the land of Aegis and crash onto the distant land of Asulon where we would remake our lives.

I think that a new lacrosse field would be great for the community because Festus does not have one and it is a great sport! I love the sport and think Festus should create a team for it! It would be very benificial to the community and lacrosse lovers! That is why I think the field should be created! It is an amazing game and truely is fun to watch! Thank you for reading!

Minecraft Part 2 - Multiplayer!

If you are reading this I hope you have read the first review, but if not I will review with you. Minecraft is a classic sandbox game where there is no end. It is a world made of blocks, where you will survive or Thrive!! The game is not endless of course, but there are many mods created for this game. They are simple to install and make the game much better if they are in your taste! But even without the mods you can have an awesome time playing this classic! It even has multiplayer! I have been searching for the right server for some time and I found one. A serious roleplaying server called Lord of the Craft. In this server you can be a human, dwarf, orc, or elf! There used to be two others but as roleplay they eventually died off fighting each other. The original map was destroyed and we sailed to a new land. From Aegis to Asulon, the server still amazes me!

World Travel - The Bermuda Triangle

If I could go any where I wanted right now... I would go to the Bermuda Triangle! I would go to the Bermuda Traingle because people say bad things happen there and they don't know for sure why, so I want to check it out. People say Aliens and stuff cause it, but I think it has to do with the earth's magenetic core being exposed at that area. People need to think more scientific, but I guess some people are just crazy. The Bermuda Triangle is wierd I guess, but everything has a solution. There are also a lot of tropical resorts nearby it.

Minecraft is a survival-based sandbox game where you live in a world where everything is made of blocks. There are houses that spawn with villagers and even pigs to slay for pork. It is an endless game of fun where you can build a massive city, or a mountain cave to fend off zombies. You might decide to go shear some sheep of their wool so you can make a bed and sleep through the terrible nights. Perhaps you'll build a farm, or even a ranch to store animals! The game is full of surprises, and that is why it is one of my favorite games.  The game may look lame at first, but if you give it a chance you will surely enjoy it!

Hi my name is Michael H. this is my blog.
I like sports. I like reading. I like action. When you combine that all together you get sporting, action novels!
My favorite sport is lacrosse, but I like wrestling, football, and baseball too. I also like basketball but I don't really play it, I just watch it. I love reading too but right nowI'm waiting for another book to come out, but until then I'm reading another series called " The Grey Griffins." I'm on the 3rd book right now.
